Synsense Closes $1.2M investment round for neuromorphic hardware development
Switzerland-based AI hardware startup SynSense has announced a $1.2M seed funding round, led by Pre Angel Capital (Zhuji Jiawei). Its unique mixed-signal neuromorphichardware technology brings unprecedented advantages in terms of energy efficiency, architectural scalability, robust learning methods and system-level latency.
The company is using the funds to expand its team at its Zurich head office. The team is developing applications of neuromorphic processing in IoT, medical signal analysis and other fields. SynSense is currently led by Dr. Ning Qiao and Prof. Giacomo Indiveri. It is a spin-off of the Institute of Neuroinformatics at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich.
